CHANDIGARH, 3rd May 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu shared information about the revolutionary steps being taken by the government led by CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to maintain law and order and eradicate drugs and gangsterism in the state. He said that under the directions of the Chief Minister, the campaigns ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ and ‘Gangstran te Vaar’ are being carried out with full commitment in Punjab.

AAP Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated, "Punjab Police has now become fully high tech and Artificial Intelligence is being used to tackle gangsters, with a modern voice bank prepared that contains voice samples of more than 84,000 accused and suspects."

Citing a recent breakthrough, he shared, "While exposing the module of the Shambhu blast, the police arrested all the accused who have also confessed to their involvement in previous blasts, and all these arrests were made possible with the help of this technology."

Emphasising the scale of data capabilities, Baltej Pannu continued, "Punjab Police now has a vast database of more than 390,000 criminals active across the world, and with the help of the voice recognition system, criminals will now be identified and their locations traced within just a few minutes."

Warning those attempting to disrupt peace, he asserted, "Anyone trying to disturb the peace of Punjab will no longer escape, as with the help of this advanced technology, the high tech police will track down every criminal, even from the depths of the earth."

Referring to the government’s anti drug drive, Baltej Pannu said, "The ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ campaign has been running continuously for the past 427 days, during which large quantities of narcotics are being seized and the backbone of drug traffickers is being broken, while those who built luxurious mansions with black money from drugs are facing continuous action through the government’s ‘peela panja,’ and this campaign will continue until drugs are completely eradicated from Punjab.”
