All seventeen metro stations closed due to heightened security concerns during the recent Cockroach Janata Party protest at Jantar Mantar have been officially reopened for commuters. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation confirmed that normal operations across the entire transit network fully resumed on Wednesday evening.

Earlier in the day, precautionary closures were implemented across major central interchanges to maintain public order and prevent potential disruptions in busy pedestrian areas.

The initial phase of restrictions impacted heavily frequented hubs including Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, Mandi House, Patel Chowk, and Janpath. Other prominent stops such as Lok Kalyan Marg, Khan Market, Supreme Court, Barakhamba Road, and ITO were also temporarily shut down to restrict large crowds.

As security measures intensified later in the afternoon, officials added Jhandewalan station to the restricted list, bringing the total count to seventeen. Thousands of demonstrators had gathered in Central Delhi earlier this week to voice strong opposition against alleged irregularities in recent national examination processes.

With normal services restored, daily life across the capital is returning to its usual momentum.
