Delhi Police formally dismissed social media reports on Monday claiming that Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke had been taken into custody. Law enforcement authorities issued an immediate public clarification on platform X, labeling the circulating rumors entirely false and confirming his presence on stage.

The clarification followed viral posts from party representatives asserting that security personnel had picked up the founder. Chief spokesperson Saurabh Das initially claimed on social media that the organization leader had been detained during active demonstrations near central government buildings.

Following the official police rebuttal, the party leadership issued a prompt retraction. The spokesperson confirmed that the founder was neither arrested nor placed under official detention, easing concerns among supporters gathered for the ongoing capital demonstrations.

Tensions remained heightened across central zones as large crowds assembled to voice grievances over competitive examination irregularities. Security forces maintained a heavy deployment near major transit points and public venues to manage commuter movement and prevent escalation.

Authorities reiterated calls for public restraint while managing the high profile demonstrations. Officials urged citizens and digital platform users to verify news updates through official channels rather than relying on unverified online rumors.
