Delhi is braced for a significant confrontation as the Cockroach Janta Party prepares for its proposed Parliament march on July 20. This youth-led movement, protesting systemic exam irregularities, remains defiant following the forced hospitalization of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk.

Wangchuk, who entered the twenty-first day of his indefinite hunger strike, was relocated to Safdarjung Hospital under Delhi High Court directions. While authorities cite deteriorating health as the primary driver for this intervention, protest organizers and the activist’s family have sharply criticized the lack of transparency regarding his medical status and consent.

In response to the upcoming "Chalo Sansad" rally, Delhi Police have transformed the capital’s central district into a high-security zone. Extensive barricading, intensive vehicle inspections, and round-the-clock surveillance are now in effect. Officials confirmed that no formal permission for the march has been sought, and it remains highly unlikely to be granted given the stringent protocols coinciding with the Parliament's Monsoon Session.

Police remain firm in their intent to prevent any unauthorized movement toward the high-security perimeter. Strategic points across North and Central Delhi are heavily fortified, with personnel instructed to intercept protesters long before they reach the legislative complex.

Despite the heightened crackdown, the movement’s leadership insists the march will proceed. Founder Abhijeet Dipke has announced he will continue the hunger strike, turning the spotlight back onto the demand for accountability regarding nationwide examination scandals.
