The project thrives on a collaborative model, inviting participation from a diverse range of stakeholders.

The Ministry of Ayush has launched the Yoga Park Portal, a forward-looking initiative designed to convert public parks into community wellness hubs just in time for the 25-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga 2026. Unveiled by Union Minister of State Prataprao Jadhav in Khajuraho, the platform serves as a digital cornerstone for the ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’ theme, aiming to institutionalize preventive healthcare nationwide.

The project thrives on a collaborative model, inviting participation from a diverse range of stakeholders. This inclusive network brings together government bodies, non-governmental organisations, and corporate entities, encouraging companies to leverage their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes to fund and maintain this vital public wellness infrastructure.

Access is democratized for local involvement, as the portal invites participation from Panchayati Raj Institutions, Urban Local Bodies, and Resident Welfare Associations. By empowering these local organizations, the initiative ensures that wellness activities are not just centralized, but deeply embedded within the fabric of daily neighbourhood life.

The platform functions as a comprehensive digital resource, providing specific guidelines, concept notes, and seamless registration facilities. Stakeholders can use these tools to secure the necessary support to develop dedicated meditation zones, yoga platforms, and open areas suitable for group sessions that cater to citizens of all age groups.

This initiative is a strategic effort to create long-term health assets, offering a sustainable way to promote mindfulness and social interaction across both rural and urban India.
