To prevent any impact on the academic cycle, the NTA has drastically compressed its operational timeline.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated an unprecedented security overhaul for the upcoming NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. Director General Abhishek Singh announced that the agency is implementing the highest order of protective protocols in its history to guarantee a completely fool-proof examination process following previous irregularities.

To prevent any impact on the academic cycle, the NTA has drastically compressed its operational timeline. While it normally takes around five months to conduct the massive medical entrance test, the agency is executing the entire process within just 37 days, ensuring schedules remain intact.

This accelerated timeline relies heavily on high-level logistics, including the deployment of the Indian Air Force and paramilitary forces to secure question paper transit. The entire operation will feature 100 percent CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, and strict monitoring of all personnel involved to eliminate potential malpractices.

A major focus of these security measures involves addressing cybercrimes on digital platforms. The central government has temporarily banned the Telegram app in India until June 22 after investigations revealed that channels frequently altered content and manipulated timestamps to fake paper leaks and run financial scams.

Furthermore, the NTA has requested a freeze on Telegram's message editing feature until June 30 to prevent the destruction of evidence, ensuring complete structural integrity for the high-stakes exam.
