Nisarga Adhikari, the boy who discovered flaws in the CBSE's OSM system and reported them to the authorities, now has a job at IIT Kanpur

Kanpur: Nisarga Adhikari, who just completed his Class 12, is not aiming to crack JEE and get into IIT like his peers. Why? He has already secured a job at IIT Kanpur as an OSINT and a Threat Intelligence Engineer.

Adhikari came into the spotlight when he posted a blog about the flaws in the CBSE’s ON-Screen-Marking System on May 22. He alleged that answer sheets and question papers stored on an AWS bucket were publicly accessible online, which sparked a nationwide debate about CBSE’s technological ecosystem.

People online appreciated the talent of Nisarga, and he became a famous name on social media.

Now, after the massive popularity online, IIT Kanpur has hired the 19-year-old guy as an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and threat Intelligence engineer.

Acknowledging the young talent, the director of IIT Kanpur said in an interview, “Nisarga Adhikary has joined IIT Kanpur’s C3iHub as an OSINT and Threat Intelligence Engineer. He is a talented young engineer who has demonstrated noteworthy technical capabilities at a young age. We believe he has significant potential, and working at IIT Kanpur will provide him with the opportunity to further develop his capabilities while contributing to cybersecurity and threat intelligence initiatives at C3iHub. We wish him the very best in his journey ahead.”

Now at IIT Kanpur, Adhikary will analyse open-source intelligence, find vulnerabilities, and help organisations strengthen digital defences.
