Sanjay Tandon hails BJP’s historic win in West Bengal, Assam assembly polls

Chandigarh, May 4, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon today lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party’s remarkable performance in the recent Assembly elections, describing it as a reflection of the people’s growing trust in the party’s vision and governance.

He highlighted the party’s historic victory in West Bengal, the successful retention of power in Assam and significant inroads made in Kerala and Tamil Nadu as milestones that underline the BJP’s expanding national footprint.

He said that the BJP has wrested West Bengal where there was rampant illegal intrusion of Bangladeshis under the ruling TMC, and added that now BJP will focus on Punjab , which shares a border with  Pakistan thus making it sensitive and important in view of national security.

"Now the nation's focus is on Punjab where the change seems to be inevitable in favour of the BJP," said Tandon.

He said: "BJP's resounding triumph is a victory of trust over fear, and people's continued confidence in the governance model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Women have taught Left, Congress and TMC a lesson for opposing the 33 per cent women quota."

Tandon credited the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for this resounding success. He said their commitment to development, inclusive governance, and strong organizational strategy has resonated deeply with voters across diverse regions.

“The results clearly indicate that the people of India are endorsing the BJP’s agenda of progress, transparency and nationalism. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the strategic guidance of Amit Shah, the party continues to break new ground and strengthen its presence across the country,” Tandon said.

He further added that the BJP’s growing acceptance in southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu is a significant indicator of changing political dynamics, and reflects the party’s sustained efforts to connect with people at the grassroots level.

Tandon expressed confidence that the BJP will continue to serve the nation with dedication and work tirelessly towards realizing the vision of a strong, prosperous, and inclusive India.
