Referring to Jantar Mantar incident, PM notes he and his late mother were both targeted with abuse.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that abusive language never resolves anything, calling on citizens to help guide those who have strayed off course. Referring to the recent incident at Jantar Mantar, the Prime Minister noted that the nation and the world had witnessed abusive language directed at him, as well as at his late mother. While acknowledging that public anger over such conduct is justified, he pointed out that childhood is also a period when mistakes happen, and there is scope to learn and change.

Rather than punishing the young people involved, dragging them through legal proceedings, or subjecting them to social backlash, Modi said society should instead embrace them and guide them toward the right path. He expressed his personal wish to forgive them and appealed to the public to support this approach.

The Prime Minister also urged the country's youth to move forward together in service of the nation, learn from their errors, and continue chasing their goals. He noted that India is advancing quickly and voiced hope that every young citizen would progress along with it, calling for collective effort toward building Bharat.

Sharing a video message on guiding the youth, PM Modi said: "Abuses never solve anything. Let's guide the misguided. Let's work together. Let's work for Bharat."

The remarks come in the wake of protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar over alleged NEET paper leak irregularities, which concluded on July 25 after nearly five weeks of demonstrations. Police have registered a case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita covering intentional insult, statements conducive to public mischief, and defamation, with the matter now transferred to Parliament Street Police Station for investigation.
