Charaideo remains the hardest-hit district with over 77,000 affected residents, followed by Sivasagar and Jorhat.

Severe flooding across five districts of Assam continues to disrupt life, leaving nearly 1.92 lakh residents struggling against the natural calamity. Fresh deaths reported from Sivasagar and Charaideo have pushed the total mortality count to 82 this season.

Despite minor improvements in overall flood levels, swollen rivers maintain critical threats. Officials confirmed that the Dikhou River in Sivasagar and the Dhansiri River at Numaligarh in Golaghat remain dangerously above safety thresholds, prompting strict advisories for citizens to avoid dangerous zones.
