Panchkula March 27: A Multidisciplinary Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program on the topic “Sleep Related Breathing Disorders” was successfully organized at Red  Bishop, Sector 1, Panchkula today. 

   The CME was conducted by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula under the leadership of Organising Chairman Dr. R.S. Chauhan and Organising Secretary Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur.

The program was graced by distinguished dignitaries Chief Guest Dr. Manish Bansal, Director General Health, Guest of Honour Dr. Mukta Kumar, CMO, Patron Dr. R.S. Chauhan, PMO. Around 100 doctors, including ENT specialists, surgeons, ASMO, SMO, and resident doctors from various streams, actively participated in the CME. 

The scientific program covered a wide range of important topics related to sleep disorders. Introduction to Sleep Apnea (Epidemiology) – Dr. Abha Singla, Pathophysiology of Sleep Apnea – Dr. Sukhdeep, Evaluation & Approach to a Patient of Sleep Apnea – Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Polysomnography (Sleep Study) – Dr. Sukhdeep, Medical Management of Sleep Apnea (CPAP) – Dr. Rajesh Raju, 
Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy (DISE) – Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Role of Nasal Surgeries in OSA – Dr. Sandeep Bansal,
Pediatric OSA – Dr. Sandeep Bansal,
Paediatric OSA – Dr. Mukta Kumar, 
Laryngeal OSA – Dr. Sandeep Bansal
Surgical Management of OSA – Dr. Sandeep Bansal Professor and specialist in Sleep Disorders PGI Chandigarh and 
Dental Aspects in OSA – Dr. Pankaj Shourie.

The program concluded with an engaging Panel Discussion and Interaction Session, followed by the Valedictory Function.

The CME proved to be highly informative and beneficial, focusing on the latest diagnostic and management approaches for sleep-related breathing disorders, particularly Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The event promoted multidisciplinary collaboration and enhanced clinical knowledge among healthcare professionals.
