Chandigarh, May 20, 2026: Senior BJP leader and Member of the All India Working Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sanjay Tandon on Tuesday received a representation from the Teacher Union of City Beautiful (TUCB) regarding long-pending service matters concerning UT Cadre employees in Chandigarh.

The delegation, led by TUCB President Parveen K Rao, submitted a memorandum highlighting key demands related to employee welfare and service benefits. The union requested the grant of 20 casual leaves to all teachers of the UT Cadre, particularly keeping in view the specific conditions and challenges faced by female employees.

The delegation also raised the issue of pending arrears for employees recruited in the 2015 batch and sought restoration of increments for employees who had successfully challenged the quashing of their recruitment in the Hon’ble Supreme Court but have allegedly not received increments for the last 10 years.

The union members stated that these unresolved issues have caused considerable hardship to employees and appealed for their early resolution on humanitarian and administrative grounds.
