Chandigarh, 08 April 2026: Maj Gen Bharat Mehtani, ADG, PHHP&C Dte, visited Group Headquarters NCC, Chandigarh on 08 April 2026. The visit commenced with a Guard of Honour, followed by a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to pay homage to Captain Vikram Batra, PVC who was a NCC Cadet.
The General Officer was introduced to officers and received a comprehensive briefing at Group HQ. He subsequently visited units, training and simulator facilities, where cadets showcased ongoing training activities and practical skills.
The visit concluded with an interactive tea session with officers, staff and participating cadets. He also interacted with meritorious cadets who had achieved and brought laurels in various activities. Maj Gen Bharat Mehtani appreciated the high standards of training, discipline, and commitment displayed, and encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence in service to the nation.
