The Budhni plant facility was previously operating with an installed solar capacity of 51.92 MWp, with 100 per cent utilization.

Punjab / Chandigarh: March 27, 2026:  Trident Group, a leading diversified conglomerate with interests spanning textiles, paper, chemicals and energy,  has commissioned an additional new 5.40 MWp rooftop solar power project successfully at its Budhni manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh, taking the total installed solar capacity at the location to 57.32 MWp. reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth while ensuring operational efficiency at scale.

With this addition, the Budhni facility further strengthens its position as a key hub for Trident’s renewable energy initiatives in central India.

The Budhni plant facility was previously operating with an installed solar capacity of 51.92 MWp, with 100 per cent utilization.

The latest capacity addition has been completed as scheduled on March 27, 2026, the company said in a statement. The project entails an estimated investment of around Rs 10 crore.

The move is in line with the group’s strategy to scale up renewable energy adoption across its manufacturing operations and lower its overall carbon footprint. The rooftop installation is expected to enhance energy efficiency while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
