The feature is designed for frequent, small-value purchases and offers an instant credit limit of up to Rs 10,000.
Zepto Adds 15-Day Pay Later, Real-Time Images, Order Edit Feature
Quick commerce platform Zepto has introduced a set of new features aimed at making everyday grocery shopping more flexible and user-friendly, shifting its focus beyond just rapid delivery.
Among the key updates is a ‘pay later’ option that allows customers to place orders and complete the payment after up to 15 days without any interest. The feature is designed for frequent, small-value purchases and offers an instant credit limit of up to Rs 10,000. Users can complete transactions without entering an OTP, making the checkout process faster.
The company said the move reflects a broader strategy to prioritise customer convenience over the traditional race of delivering orders within minutes. It is positioning itself to simplify routine purchases rather than focusing solely on speed.
In another update, the app will now display real-time images of fruits and vegetables available at nearby stores instead of standard catalogue photos. This aims to give users a clearer idea of product quality before placing an order.
Additionally, customers will be able to add items to their cart even after placing an order, addressing a common issue where shoppers realise they missed something.
With these changes, Zepto is attempting to enhance trust and flexibility in online grocery shopping while refining the overall user experience.
