WhatsApp Update Adds Dual Accounts for iPhone, AI Photo Editing, and Easier Chat Transfers
iPhone users can now run two WhatsApp accounts on a single device, eliminating the need for separate phones for personal and work chats. The new “Two Accounts, One Phone” feature, previously available only for Android, will display the active account through the profile picture in the app’s bottom tab, making it easier to switch between accounts.
Alongside account flexibility, WhatsApp has added AI-powered tools to enhance communication. Users can edit photos, remove unwanted elements, change backgrounds, or apply different styles before sending images. The company has reassured users that chats will remain fully private despite these new AI capabilities.
WhatsApp is also simplifying device transitions with official support for transferring chat histories, including photos and videos, from iOS to Android. Additionally, predictive stickers will suggest replacements for emojis while typing, adding a creative touch to conversations.
These updates are being rolled out gradually and may not be immediately available to all users. The updates combine AI tools and new account features, offering more options and flexibility for users.
