The film is a sequel to “Dhurandhar,” released in December 2025, which performed strongly at the box office.
JioHotstar is extending its digital release approach through a structured premiere format for major films, with Ranveer Singh’s action thriller “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” being one of the newest titles adopting this strategy. The platform is positioning the film’s rollout as more than a standard streaming drop, introducing additional viewer engagement elements.
Under the new format, audiences will first get a 30-minute pre-show at 7 pm on June 4. The segment will include cast conversations, behind-the-scenes footage, and production insights designed to build context around the film before its full release.
The main streaming access will open from June 5, when the film becomes available to subscribers across India and other regions where the platform operates. JioHotstar has also confirmed that the film will be presented in its original uncut version for Indian audiences.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film originally hit theatres on March 19 before transitioning to the digital window. The platform’s entertainment leadership stated that the initiative aims to extend storytelling beyond the film itself by adding interactive and curated elements.
JioStar’s Hindi and English entertainment business head Alok Jain said the approach is intended to create a more immersive viewing experience, while the director also expressed interest in the digital premiere format.
The film is a sequel to “Dhurandhar,” released in December 2025, which performed strongly at the box office. With this release, the platform continues experimenting with hybrid presentation models that combine theatrical content with structured digital experiences.
