The late singer’s residence in Lower Parel has turned into a gathering point for admirers and well-wishers, where people are expected to pay their final respects from 11 am onwards. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was among the first to visit her home, offering condolences and honouring her contribution to the arts. Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar confirmed that the government would accord full state honours during the funeral, reflecting the singer’s immense influence and stature.

Asha Bhosle had been undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital before she passed away due to multiple health complications. Her demise has left the film and music fraternity in deep mourning, with tributes pouring in from across the country.
