DU UG Admissions 2026: Over 63,700 Seats Confirmed in Phase 1; Second List Out July 25

During the initial offer stage, more than 81,900 applicants formally accepted their allotted undergraduate seats.

Delhi University successfully completed the first phase of undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System, with a total of 63,756 candidates confirming their seats. Official figures indicate a strong participation rate across affiliated colleges as students secured their preferences for the 2026-27 academic session.


Among the admitted students, 15,265 candidates selected the freeze option to lock their current allotments. Conversely, 48,153 applicants opted for an upgrade, signaling their intent to seek higher-preference courses or colleges in subsequent allocation rounds.

The latest admission figures demonstrate a noticeable increase compared to earlier updates released on July 21. At that stage, the university recorded 61,932 confirmed admissions following the completion of required fee payments within the stipulated deadline.


During the initial offer stage, more than 81,900 applicants formally accepted their allotted undergraduate seats. Overall, the university extended 93,033 seat offers across 221 programs spread over 67 colleges, drawing from a pool of over 2.08 lakh applicants who completed the second phase of the admission process.


Candidates who selected the upgrade option will remain eligible for higher-preference choices in the upcoming round. Delhi University is scheduled to publish its second seat allocation list on July 25, while the new academic session will officially commence on July 28.
