CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 Declared: 24.7 Lakh Students, Key Pass Stats Released
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 10 board examination results, confirming the outcome of the first phase conducted under its newly introduced two-phase exam system.
Officials said more than 24.71 lakh students appeared for the examination this year across 8,074 centres across the country. A senior board official confirmed that the results have been released.
As per the results, girls once again outperformed boys in the overall pass percentage. The pass rate of female students stood at 94.99 percent, which is 1.3 percentage points higher than that of boys.
The board also reported that 55,368 students secured more than 95 percent marks, while 2,21,574 students scored above 90 percent marks in the examination.
A large number of students have been placed in the compartment category. The overall performance remains close to last year’s result trend, according to official data.
CBSE had introduced a two-phase examination system for Class 10 this academic year, making participation in the first phase mandatory for all candidates. The results announced on Wednesday relate to this first phase of assessment.
The board said the second phase of the examination system will continue under the revised two-phase structure.
