In a sensational display of power-hitting, Nepal's batsman Dipendra Singh Airee has rewritten the record books by achieving the fastest half-century in T20 international cricket. Airee's stunning feat took place during Nepal's clash against Mongolia at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.

Airee's unbeaten 52 runs came off a mere 9 balls and included a staggering display of 8 sixes. This incredible performance not only propelled Nepal to a commanding position but also etched Dipendra Singh Airee's name into cricket history. 

Notably, The previous record for the fastest half-century in T20 international cricket was held by the former Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh's exceptional half-century came off 12 balls during the 2007 T20 World Cup encounter against England in Durban.
