2025 Men's Hockey Asia Cup: India Wins Against China In Opening Match Latest News: India men’s hockey team on Friday won against China by 1 score in the 2025 Men's Hockey Asia Cup. The 2025 Men's Hockey Asia Cup is being held at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir, India, from 29 August to 7 September 2025.

India registered a stunning 4-3 win over China Captain, wherein Harmanpreet Singh scored a hat-trick, while Jugraj also scored a goal in the opening match today. 

The winner of the tournament will qualify for the 2026 Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Eight teams are participating in the tournament, of which Pakistan and Oman withdrew and were replaced by Bangladesh and Kazakhstan, respectively.

Other countries participating in the tournament are China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, and India, which is the host of the tournament.

Japan, China, India, and Kazakhstan are in pool A, while the remaining four are in pool B.

Kazakhstan is returning to the Asia Cup after three decades.
