IPL 2024 Mohali Stadium, PBKS vs DC Match on March 23 Venue: The cricket fever is almost here as the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin in March, this year. Indians are all excited and so are the Punjabis as Punjab Kings will take on Delhi Capitals in Mohali, not the old IS Bindra stadium, but the new Mullanpur stadium.
Yes, you read it right. Mullanpur Stadium is the new home ground for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. The 2014 runner-up Punjab Kings, then Kings XI Punjab, has revealed that from the 2024 campaign on, they will play their home games at a new venue — the newly constructed Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
The announcement from the franchise came days after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the first two weeks of the tour wherein PBKS is set to play their opening game at home on March 23 against the Delhi Capitals.
This will be the first-ever IPL game at the new Mullanpur Stadium. Besides, this game will also mark Rishabh Pant's comeback to cricket after his near-fatal car accident in Uttarakhand.
