HANGZHOU: The Indian men's 10m air pistol team demonstrated exceptional prowess at the Asian Games, securing the gold medal and adding to India's impressive medal tally. In a closely contested match, the Indian trio comprising Sarabjot Singh, Shiva Narwal, and Arjun Singh Cheema edged past the Chinese team to claim the top spot, marking India's fourth gold in the shooting category.

The Indian team showcased remarkable precision, amassing a total of 1734 points during the qualification round, surpassing the Chinese team by a single point. The Chinese team secured the silver medal, while Vietnam, with a score of 1730 points, secured the bronze. Additionally, Sarbjot and Arjun qualified for the individual category final, keeping India's medal hopes alive.

Sarbjot Singh garnered an impressive score of 580, closely followed by Cheema with 578 points and Narwal with 576 points. This victory marks India's third gold medal in the team event within the discipline of shooting. Previously, India clinched gold medals in the 10m air rifle and women's 25m pistol events.
