New Delhi: Legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has claimed that the ICC T20 World Cup and the Indian Premier League (IPL) are unlikely to take place this year owing to the massive destruction caused by the coronavirus outbreak which was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in March this year.

With no sporting action up for grabs, star athletes have resorted to regularly using social media platforms to interact with fans and their colleagues during the testing times.

From the fate of the ICC World T20 hosted by Australia later this year to the already postponed IPL 2020, Akhtar gave his verdict on two of the most celebrated tournaments in the gentlemen's game.
