New Delhi: Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh feels he was handled unprofessionally towards the end of his career. Yuvraj retired in June last year.
“I just felt that the way they managed me towards the end of my career was very unprofessional,” Yuvraj said.
“But in the future, anybody who has played for India for a long time, you should definitely honour him. Give him that respect, somebody like Gautam Gambhir, who has won two World Cups for us, Sehwag, who has been the biggest match-winner after Sunil Gavaskar in Tests. VVS Laxman, Zaheer Khan, also,” he added.
Yuvraj featured in 304 ODIs, 58 T20Is and 40 Tests, scoring 8701, 1177 and 1900 runs in the three formats, respectively. Also, he scalped 111 wickets in 50-over format, 28 in T20Is and 9 in Tests.
