Due to the Corona crisis, all sports events this year are being cancelled or postponed. Under this, the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November this year is likely to be postponed.

This is because India has already scheduled the Twenty20 World Cup in October 2021 and it seems wrong to schedule two World Cups in the same format in a year.

The current market scenario is not ready for two World Cups in six months. This is a matter of concern for the host broadcaster Star Sports. Star sources confirmed that if the IPL is held in India in October, it will not be easy to hold two IPLs in six months and two World Cups in 2021.

This thinking is largely related to market concerns and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is expected to support the plan at the ICC meeting on May 28. In such a scenario, the consequences of holding IPL have increased. When it comes to bilateral cricket, it is almost certain. Bilateral cricket will resume soon.

India is in talks with South Africa for a tour in August, but no decision has been made yet. On the other hand, the two biggest series in the world cricket calendar remain intact.

Sources also said that Sourav Ganguly and Australia Cricket chief executive Kevin Roberts are already in talks about a tour of Australia.
