Paris Olympics 2024 Archery: India Off To Good Start, Womens Team Qualifies For Quarterfinals

Paris Olympics 2024 Archery Individual Ranking Result: The Paris Olympics 2024 is here and India is off to a good start courtesy of the Women's Archer Team who have qualified for the Quarterfinals. Team India consisting of Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, and Bhajan Kaur played well and put the team to the 4th spot, qualifying for the quarters and raising the hope for a medal. 

Not only this, but Indian women archers — Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, and Bhajan Kaur, have also qualified for Round of 32.  

Notably, the debutant Archer Ankita Bhakat made the nation proud as she finished at the 11th spot with 666 points while the experienced Deepika Kumari was way behind the race. However, Deepika still managed to qualify for the next round as she finished 23rd and her quick recovery helped India attain the 4th spot. Likewise, Bhajan Kaur finished at 22nd spot with 659 points. 

Now, India's Ankita Bhakat will take on Poland's Myszore and Bhajan Kaur will play her match against Indonesia's Kamal SN in the Round of 32 on July 30, 2024. Likewise, Deepika Kumari will play her Round of 32 bout against Estonia's Parnat Reena on July 31, 2024. 

India qualified for the mixed team event as well, following their top 16 finish in the overall mixed team standings. 5th-place finish with a score of 1347.
