Rohit Sharma News

IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma News: Following the end of the ICC World Cup 2023, the news reports related to the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League have started to surface on social media. The first trade of IPL 2024 was done in the form of Avesh Khan, who has moved to Rajasthan Royals while Devdutt Padikkal is going the other way to Lucknow Super Giants in a straight swap. Now, reports have started to surface stating that Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma may be swapped with Gujarat Titians' Hardik Pandya.

If it is true then the swap will be between captains. One captain for another captain. Notably, the IPL 2024 transfer window is open. As per this, all the ten franchises in IPL 2024 can submit their final list of retentions and releases by November 26. In the meanwhile, rumors have started to surface that something big might happen, including Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma.

As per the report, Hardik Pandya might return to Mumbai Indians, in a direct swap with Rohit Sharma moving to Gujarat Titans via a trading window. Likewise, there are also rumours that instead of letting Rohit Sharma go, Mumbai Indians might let go of injury-prone Jofra Archer.

It would definitely be a difficult decision for Mumbai Indians to let Rohit Sharma go, given the amount of success he had had as a captain of the franchise and also the decade-long emotional relationship he had with the franchise.

Apart from the Avesh Khan-Devdutt Padikkal swap for IPL 2023, Gautam Gambhir also made a comeback to his old franchise i.e. Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor. He left behind Lucknow Super Giants ahead of IPL 2024.
