Winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Australian side set a target of 277 runs for India to chase down. Despite a commendable effort by David Warner, who notched up the highest score with 52 runs, the Australian innings faltered as they were bowled out. Mohammed Shami's exceptional performance saw him dismiss five Australian batsmen for 51 runs.
