Akash Deep got his Test debut cap in the fourth Test match being played against England. Coach Rahul Dravid handed over the debut cap to the 27-year-old left-arm bowler and all the players welcomed him.

Who is Indian cricketer Akash Deep?

Akash Deep started his career with a tennis ball and his journey eventually reached international cricket. He once told in an interview that his father always wanted him to do a government job, for which Akash Deep also gave many exams, but he did not write anything in the paper. He only had the passion in his mind to become a cricketer.

In his childhood, people used to taunt him and his friends. His family members used to advise him to stay away from him. Akash Deep also said that many children used to tell their children to stay away from Akash because he did not study and that their children would get spoiled in his company.

Akash Deep lost both his father and brother forever some time ago, but despite being broken from within during such difficult times, he did not lose courage and made a place in the Indian Test team by performing brilliantly.

Akash Deep touched mother's feet after getting debut cap:

After getting the debut cap from coach Rahul Dravid, Akash Deep first went to his mother and touched her feet and took her blessings. The right-arm bowler replaced Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested for the fourth Test due to workload.

Akash Deep's cricket career:

The 27-year-old Akash Deep took a total of 104 wickets while playing 30 matches in his first class career. His average during this period was at 23. Not only this, he has also been played by RCB for IPL 2024.
