India and Sri Lanka to Host ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025: Full Fixtures Revealed

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to take place across five cities in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November 2025.

The tournament will kick off with a blockbuster clash between hosts India and Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 30 September. The following day, reigning champions Australia will begin their title defence against Trans-Tasman rivals and T20 World Cup holders New Zealand in Indore.

This 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup will feature eight of the world’s top teams, playing in a single round-robin format where each team faces the other once. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals.

Matches will be held in five cities – Bengaluru, Vizag, Indore, Guwahati, and Colombo – with each location hosting crucial fixtures throughout the month-long tournament. One semi-final will be staged in Bengaluru, while the other will be hosted either in Guwahati or Colombo. The grand finale is scheduled for 2 November, with the final venue to be confirmed between Colombo and Bengaluru.

Teams and Qualification
Australia, the most successful team in Women’s World Cup history with seven titles, topped the ICC Women’s Championship standings to secure direct qualification, along with England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. Hosts India earned automatic entry, while Bangladesh and Pakistan booked their spots through the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier held in April 2025.

Warm-up Matches and Build-up
Ahead of the main tournament, each team will play two warm-up matches starting from 24 September. India will face 2022 runners-up England in Bengaluru on 24 September, followed by a clash against South Africa in Guwahati on 27 September.
With intense rivalries, key matchups like India vs Pakistan on 5 October in Colombo, and a well-balanced schedule across subcontinental venues, the stage is set for a thrilling celebration of women’s cricket.
