The 18th season of the IPL will begin 13 days after the conclusion of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, which ends on 9th March.
BCCI released the calendar for IPL 2025 latest news: India's Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) released the calendar for IPL 2025 on Sunday, 16th February. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match on 22nd March at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The final of the tournament will be held at Eden Gardens on 25th May.
The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin 13 days after the conclusion of the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, which ends on 9th March. IPL 2025 will start on a Saturday, and there will be double-headers on Sundays. The 2024 finalists, Sunrisers Hyderabad, will play Rajasthan Royals in the afternoon game on 23rd March, followed by the highly anticipated match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in Chennai the same night. IPL 2025 will have two matches between CSK and MI.
IPL fans, rejoice! In contrast to last year, when they played only one game against each other, this year in IPL 2025, they will play twice against each other. The first match will be played on 23rd March at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, and the second match on 20th April at Wankhede Stadium.
IPL 2025 will be staged at 13 grounds, with 74 games in 65 days. Besides the 10 home grounds of each of the 10 teams, there will also be matches in Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Dharamshala.
IPL 2025 playoffs will be conducted in Hyderabad and Kolkata. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, and Qualifier 2 and the final of the tournament will be played at Eden Gardens.
