14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Scores 144 Runs in 42 Balls in Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025
14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave an incredible performance with his 144 runs off just 42 balls for India A against the United Arab Emirates in the “Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025”. His explosive knock was full of “11 fours” and “15 sixes”, putting him firmly on the map as one of India’s most promising young talents.
After “India A” lost “Priyansh Arya” early, Suryavanshi took charge. He raced to “50 in just 17 balls”. The teenager’s performance continued as he reached his century in just 32 balls. He became one of the fastest century-makers in Indian T20 cricket history. His innings included seven sixes in just two overs, particularly against “Muhammad Jawadullah” and “Harshit Kaushik”, taking the game completely away from the UAE.
While the fastest-ever T20 century for an Indian still belongs to “Urvil Patel” and “Abhishek Sharma” (who both reached the milestone in “28 balls”), Suryavanshi’s “32-ball century” places him in a list of elite company. He shared the “joint-second spot” with “Rishabh Pant”, who also scored his century in 32 balls back in 2018.
In addition to his “32-ball century” in this match, Suryavanshi had previously scored a “35-ball century” during the “IPL 2025” for the “Rajasthan Royals” in their match against the “Gujarat Titans”. It marked his place as the youngest player to score an IPL century.
After Suryavanshi’s dismissal, “Jitesh Sharma” led the charge. He finished with an “unbeaten 83” and helped India A reach a total of “297/4 in 20 overs”. “Naman Dhir” also contributed with 34 runs.
Despite the spotlight on his remarkable achievement, Suryavanshi remains humble, attributing much of his success to his father, whom he credits with keeping him grounded. “The credit goes to my father. He kept me on the right path,” said the young star during the innings break.
With his fearless approach to batting and growing reputation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is undoubtedly a future star in Indian cricket, one who is already making waves both domestically and internationally.
