Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss the initial matches of IPL 2025 due to a back injury.

According to reports, Bumrah is expected to miss Mumbai Indians' first three matches in IPL 2025. However, he is expected to rejoin the squad by early April, pending medical clearance.

Bumrah has been recovering from a lower back injury, which he suffered during the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Sydney. As a result, he was ruled out of the Champions Trophy.

Currently, he is undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, as reported by Reuters.

Bumrah has been struggling with back injuries since 2022, causing him to miss multiple series, including the 2023 ODI World Cup. He made a comeback in 2024 but suffered another stress-related back injury in January 2025 during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Sydney.

Jasprit Bumrah has been a vital force for India across all formats. In Test cricket, he is known for his ability to take wickets on any surface and has played a crucial role in India's overseas victories in Australia, England, and South Africa. In ODIs and T20Is, he is regarded as one of India’s finest limited-overs bowlers, renowned for his deadly yorkers and exceptional variations in the death overs. In the IPL, he has been a key player for Mumbai Indians, contributing significantly to their multiple title wins.
