With the opening match scheduled to commence at 2 pm, the excitement will reach its peak during the grand opening ceremony at 5 pm. The ceremony promises to be a star-studded affair, featuring a scintillating performance by Bollywood singer Mika. The event will also include the felicitation of renowned cricketing personalities.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Amarjit Singh, President of PCA, emphasized the significance of this platform for Punjab's players. Treating the T20 Cup as a premier league, PCA aims to provide players with a top-notch experience, enabling them to gain valuable exposure and enhance their skills.
Former PCA President, Rajinder Gupta, and owner of Team Trident Stallions, expressed confidence in the tournament's success and Team Trident's prospects of emerging victorious. Dilsher Khanna, PCA Secretary, shared details about the spectacular opening ceremony, which will take place at the iconic IS Bindra Stadium at 5 pm. The ceremony will commence with the unveiling of the winner's trophy, followed by a captivating performance by acclaimed singer Mika Singh. The match will officially begin with the ringing of the starting bell. The second match is scheduled from 7 pm to 10 pm, promising a thrilling battle on the field.
Amidst the intense competition, teams will vie for a grand cash prize. The winners of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup will be awarded a handsome prize of 25 lakhs, while the runners-up will receive a generous amount of 15 lakhs. Additionally, a star player will be rewarded with 1 lakh rupees after each match.
Recognizing outstanding performances throughout the tournament, special accolades await the best batsman, best bowler, and the player who hits the maximum number of sixes. Each of them will receive a cash prize of 2 lakhs. The coveted title of the "Man of the Series" will be accompanied by a cash prize of 5 lakhs, along with the grand gesture of receiving a tractor.
