Star Footballer Lionel Messi's India Tour 2025: Match Scheduled in Hyderabad
Due to the Z+ security cover, the football star will not be able to meet the public.
Star footballer Lionel Messi is on an India tour and is scheduled to visit a stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, where he will spend about an hour under Z+ security cover.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu told news agency ANI that Messi will play a match at the stadium for about 15–20 minutes. The duration and timing have been decided by Messi himself.
The Police Commissioner said that proper security arrangements have been made for the event. “We have already asked people to use public transportation to reach the stadium,” he said.
During the event, Messi will interact with young players, and the officer added that Messi is also visiting for a social cause.
Tickets for the event have been sold online, and the police emphasised that no one should come to the stadium without a ticket, and that no tickets will be sold at the venue.
Due to the Z+ security cover, the football star will not be able to meet the public.
Cultural programmes have also been arranged at the stadium. The police officer urged people to maintain discipline, decorum and decency.
Event organiser Anuttam Reddy told ANI that Messi is expected to reach the stadium between 7 pm and 7:30 pm, while musical performances will begin from 5:30 pm onwards.
“Messi will be with us on the ground for about an hour. There will be several events. As a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, he will engage with children,” Reddy added.
