India Achieves Milestone Century with 25 Gold Medals and a Remarkable Performance Across Various Disciplines


India celebrated a historic achievement at the 19th Asian Games as the Indian women's kabaddi team secured the nation's 100th medal, marking a significant milestone in the history of the prestigious event. The Indian women's kabaddi team displayed remarkable resilience and prowess, clinching the gold medal by defeating Chinese Taipei in a fiercely contested final with a score of 26-25.

This monumental victory propelled India into the century mark, a first in the long history of the Asian Games. The impressive medal tally for India stands at 25 gold, 35 silver, and 40 bronze medals, showcasing the nation's exceptional performance and dedication across various sporting disciplines.

In the last 72 years, India had notched up 100 medals at the Asian Games, highlighting the nation's progress and growth in the realm of sports. The recent successes were bolstered by outstanding performances in archery, shooting, and athletics, significantly contributing to the medal tally.

Athletics emerged as a standout discipline, yielding the highest medal count for India this year, with a remarkable total of 29 medals. The athletes showcased their prowess by securing 6 gold, 14 silver, and 9 bronze medals, showcasing their dedication and hard work.
