Vinesh Phogat Hospitalized, Health update news: Soon after Vinesh Phogat was disqualified on the day of her Gold medal bout due to marginally exceeding the weight limit (roughly 100 grams) in the women's freestyle 50kg event, she has been now hospitalized due to dehydration and sleeplessness, sources revealed on Wednesday. 

However, there has been no immediate information about Vinesh Phogat's health but Indians are praying for her recovery. 

In the meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Indian Olympics Association's President PT Usha and sought first-hand information from her on the issue and the options India has in the wake of Vinesh Phogat's setback.

He has asked her to explore the full range of options to help Vinesh’s case. He also urged PT Usha to file a strong protest regarding her disqualification if that helps Vinesh Phogat, sources revealed on Wednesday. 

On Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat's disqualification from the Paris Olympics 2024, her uncle Mahavir Phogat said, "I have nothing to say. The entire country has expected Gold... Rules are there but if a wrestler is 50-100 grams overweight they are usually allowed to play. I will ask the people of the country not to despair, one day she will bring a medal for sure... I'll prepare her for the next Olympics..."
