Spokesman in it's investigation found the viral claim to be fake

MOHALI: A Post is going viral on social media claiming that Indian cricket team player Virat Kohli has invited the Pakistan cricket team for a party at his house. This post is going viral after Pakistan Cricket Team arrival for World Cup 2023 in India.

Facebook page "Infomainment" shared a viral post claiming that Virat Kohli has invited the Pakistan cricket team for a party at his house.

Similarly, Facebook user 'Zeeshan Zarak' shared the screenshot of this post on September 28 and wrote, "specially for shadab wow my King".

Spokesman in it's investigation found the viral claim to be fake. The viral claim has been made from a parody account created in the name of Virat Kohli.

Starting the investigation, we first looked carefully at this account. We found that the username of this account is @amiVkohli. After visiting the account we found that this is an parody account created in the name of Virat Kohli.

"Real account of Virat Kohli is of the username of @imVkohli. This account has been verified since September 2012. We found that no such post has been shared from this account."

We also visited Virat Kohli's other social media handles like Facebook and Instagram but we did not find any post confirming that Virat Kohli has made such a statement.

At the end of the investigation, we did a news search to see if any such statement has been made by Virat Kohli or not. We have not came across any news confirming the viral claim.

Conclusion: Spokesman in it's investigation found the viral claim to be fake. The viral claim has been made from a parody account created in the name of Virat Kohli.
