Canada Latest News Today: Canadian authorities recently made a significant breakthrough in an arms smuggling case, arresting five individuals in Brampton, including a Punjabi mother and her two sons. Peel Regional Police apprehended 61-year-old Narendra Nagra, alongside her sons Navdeep, 20, and Ravneet Nagra, 22. Two additional suspects, Ranveer Araich, 20, and Pavneet Nahl, 21, were also detained.
The investigation led to the seizure of a substantial cache, including 11 firearms, over 900 rounds of ammunition, and $20,000 worth of illegal drugs, such as cocaine and opioids. Authorities have filed over 150 criminal charges against the group.
This recent operation underscores the ongoing vigilance of Canadian police in tackling organized crime and weapons trafficking, as they continue to monitor other potential criminal activities across the country.
