MP Dhanoa Murder Case: Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims second hit; businessman Dhanoa shot dead in Brampton

MP Dhanoa Murder Latest news: The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the killing of a businessman reported from Canada's Brampton last week. Sources said Goldy Brar supervised the killing of the gang's rival, who apparently refused to pay protection money.

This would be the second killing carried out by the gang in Canada over a month's time, the previous one being of Harjeet Dhadda, who the Bishnoi group claimed was financing the Arsh Dala syndicate.

Investigators said Bishnoi and Brar accused Dhadda of sheltering the killers of their associate Mahal Singh at his farmhouse in Uttarakhand. The latest victim who was shot on Friday has been identified as MP Dhanoa, who was in his thirties. He was gunned down in a drive-by shooting at an automotive complex shop located on Rutherford Road South and Selby Road in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police told the local media that its officers responded to the shooting around 5.45pm. Upon arrival at the complex, police discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a trauma centre in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. The local administration blamed an "India-based crime network" for the "targeted killing".
A Facebook post by Bishnoi's man Friday Rohit Godara read, "We are responsible for the killing. I called him a week ago for protection money because he made money through a lot of wrong things and he came out on bail from jail some time ago. When I called him, he misbehaved with me. We told him that we will definitely take him out... lightly. This is a warning for those whose name is included in our hit list, we will definitely kill them."

The group has of late stopped tagging their kingpin Bishnoi in their posts to shield him and give the impression that they are operating separately. However, investigators dismissed these claims as frivolous attempts to mislead the law enforcement agencies. In May, 51-year-old Dhadda of Brampton was shot multiple times after being approached by unknown suspects in a parking lot near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way in Mississauga. Investigators said they found common patterns in the killings of Dhanoa and Dhadda—Brar being a key link and conspirator.

Two of Brar's henchmen, Aman and Digvijay, were held in June for Dhadda's murder. According to social media posts from his children, Dhadda, a Canadian resident since 1997, received threats in recent years, which were reported to police, but no action was taken.

Ontario man shot dead at workplace, suspect vehicle found set ablaze
Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down several suspects after a man was shot dead at his workplace last week.  Police said last Friday, a man died after he was shot at this place of employment, which was near Rutherford and Glidden roads in Brampton. He has since been identified as Sharnpreet Singh.

Later that evening, a dark-coloured sedan was found set ablaze near Milburough Townline and Campbellville Road in Campbellville, Ont., which is just outside of Milton. The suspects then fled the area on foot, police said Wednesday. Investigators believe the vehicle is connected to the homicide.

It’s not clear how many suspects police are looking for.
“Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area that evening, particularly motorists with dashcam footage or residents with surveillance cameras, to review their recordings and report any suspicious activity,” police said.
