ADAMPUR: The Heart-wrenching trend of young Punjabi lives being lost abroad continues, with the latest tragic news emerging from the United States. A young man, identified as Damanjot Singh, hailing from Padhiana village in Jalandhar, passed away due to a heart attack in the USA. Damanjot, the sole son of his parents, had embarked on this journey six months ago, having invested Rs 40 lakh into this pursuit.

The Devastating news reached Damanjot Singh's family on September 20, when they received a distressing call from America around 10 o'clock, confirming his untimely demise due to a heart attack. The loss of their only son has left the family and the village in profound sorrow.

In the wake of this tragic event, a wave of mourning has swept through the village, with an outpouring of grief from the community and the deceased's relatives. Baljit Singh, the village's numberedar, expressed the family's profound grief and mentioned that they are in the process of coordinating efforts to repatriate Damanjot Singh's body from the USA. Relatives residing abroad and the US Embassy in India are being contacted to facilitate the necessary procedures for bringing the deceased home, allowing the grieving family to bid their final farewell.
