A large number of Indians to be deported from Canada in 2025 Latest News: While the United States has been taking strict action against illegal immigrants since last year and deporting them, Canada is also on track to surpass the record number of Indian nationals deported in 2024.
According to the latest data from the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), by July 28, 2025, the number of deported Indian nationals had already reached 1,891, and this figure is expected to rise further.
This number ranks second, with only Mexican nationals (2,678) ahead. In the previous year, 2024, Canadian authorities deported 1,997 Indians. That year, the highest number of deportations were of Mexicans (3,683), followed by Indians in second place, and Colombian nationals (981) in third.
The report states that the number of deportations of Indians has seen a significant increase in recent years. For instance, in 2019, only 625 Indians were deported — which is less than one-third of the total in 2024.
