Iran-Israel Conflict: SGPC Urges Government of India to Ensure Safe Relocation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Saroops
Amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has appealed to the Government of India to ensure the safe and respectful relocation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji saroops (sacred scriptures) from gurdwaras located in conflict zones, PTC News reported.
According to the report, SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that immediate steps must be taken to ensure the safety of the holy scriptures. He urged the government to fulfil its moral and diplomatic responsibility in this regard.
Dhami also appealed to Sikhs residing in Iran and Israel to contact Indian embassies for assistance in ensuring the protection and safety of the revered Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji saroops.
