WASHINGTON: A momentous event is on the horizon as the 'Statue of Equality', the largest statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar outside India, is set to be unveiled on October 14 in Maryland, USA. Crafted by the celebrated artist and sculptor Ram Sutar, this 19-foot statue pays homage to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The 'Statue of Equality' stands as a tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's enduring legacy, encapsulating his monumental contributions to shaping the Indian Constitution and advocating for social justice and equality. This statue is part of the 'Ambedkar International Center' (AIC), situated on a sprawling 13-acre land in Accokeek, Maryland.

Renowned artist Ram Sutar, famed for creating the iconic statue of Sardar Patel in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has meticulously sculpted this monument. The unveiling of Ambedkar's statue, a focal point of the Ambedkar monument within the center, will be a significant event drawing the attention of representatives from various countries.

The 'Ambedkar International Center' (AIC) expressed its vision, emphasizing the dissemination of Baba Saheb's teachings and principles through the monument. The statue symbolizes equality and human rights, carrying forward the ideals espoused by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
