Faridkot: A Youth from Punjab has become an MLA in Canada and he will be the youngest MLA of the country. Gurvinder Singh Brar alias Titu, a resident of Green Avenue in Faridkot city, has achieved this feat by winning the election from the North East Assembly of Calgary. The result of the elections were declared on 29th May itself. As soon as the information is received, there is an atmosphere of celebration in the family.

Relatives and residents of the area conducted a 'Path' to thank God for Titu's victory at Gurudwara Sahib and expressed happiness by distributing langar. Titu's grandfather Gurbachan Singh Brar said that it is a matter of great happiness for him that his grandson has made the name of his family and the area bright by achieving a great feat. 

MC Gurtej Singh Pahlwan of the area said that it is a matter of great joy that the young man of his area has become an MLA in Canada. He has earned the distinction of being the youngest MLA. Notably, Although many MLAs and MPs have been elected to Canada from other parts of Punjab. Titu from Faridkot is the first person to win elections in Canada.
