HOSHIARPUR: Tragedy struck when a young Punjabi man, who had ventured abroad in pursuit of employment opportunities, tragically passed away due to a heart attack. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Kulveer Singh, the son of Tarsem Lal and a resident of Sibochak village in Hajipur Tehsil at Hoshiarpur.

Kulveer Singh embarked on his journey abroad approximately four years ago in search of livelihood. His father, Tarsem Lal, revealed that his son had initially traveled to Dubai in February 2019 to work as a plumber for a company. However, after six months, he was compelled to leave the company due to the non-payment of his wages by the company owner. Subsequently, Kulveer Singh worked in various other places during his time abroad.

Mohan Singh, the son of Tarsem Lal, shared that over the course of these four years, the family had repeatedly implored Kulveer Singh to return to Punjab. However, he expressed his reluctance to return, citing the need to spend two years in jail upon his return.

The devastating news of Kulveer's demise reached his family on Thursday morning when one of his friends from abroad made the unfortunate call. The heart-wrenching news left the entire family in profound grief. The family has issued an appeal to both the Punjab government and the central government, urging them to assist in the repatriation of Kulveer Singh's body to India.
