Better sense should prevail; War is uncontrollable

Pakistan PM Imran Khan

Islamabad: 27th Feb: Pakistan Prime Minister addressed his Nation today. In his address, he briefed his countrymen about the events of the last few days. He justified the Pakistan air force retaliation in the Indian territory as a reply to Indian action. He stated, that Pakistan did it to tell India that it is fully capable, and has every right to respond to any such action in its territory.

He has invited India for a dialogue once again, even when such tension prevails between both countries, as things might spiral out of control if both nations continue acting in this manner. He said that once things escalate, there is no stopping, and neither in his control, nor in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s.

Citing examples from history, he said that wars always involve miscalculation. He appealed, that better sense should prevail as both the countries, which are armed with nuclear weapons, cannot afford any miscalculation. Sympathising with the Pulwama victims and their families, Imran Khan asked India to bring any kind of investigation on the table, and invited it for a dialogue over the problems both the nations are facing. Meanwhile, India awaits its Prime Minister to address the nation.
