Microsoft Teams Down News, MS Teams Global Outage Issue Today: Hours after the global outage of Microsoft Teams, the services have started to return slowly for some users. A disruption in MS Teams blocked access to the messaging platform across the globe.

According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, there were over 1,600 incidents of users reporting issues in MS Teams in a fraction of an hour. 

Microsoft said in its post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that "Our failover operation did not provide immediate relief to all end users in North and South America regions."

Soon after Microsoft Teams went down, the company stated that it identified a networking issue impacting a portion of the Teams service and even said that it was performing a failover.

Microsoft Teams is widely used by professionals in order to schedule online meetings, chats, and share files, among others. It is also a part of the company's popular 365 software suite. Notably, the Downdetector tracks outages as it collates status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.
